A bit of who we are and how we became, Genesis in Home Spa.
Was founded by Genesis Aguirre. A born and raised New Yorker of Colombian and Peruvian descent with profound passion for clean beauty. She graduated with a nail specialty license, an A.S degree in dental lab, and a B.S in health services administration. Her professional journey in college enabled her to experience the harmful side effects of working with toxic chemicals such as monomers and polymers used in the nail industry and dental labs. The chemicals to which Genesis had a severe allergic skin reaction and difficulty breathing while using these toxic substances. It was then when she learned that working with these chemicals were harmful on contact and had long term effects. This was of great concern for Genesis. Considering the severity of how it affects developing fetuses, as well as normal hormonal functions, the nervous system, etc.. It’s heartbreaking to know that people, especially pregnant women, endure breathing in these harmful fumes even if they do not receive this type of service themselves; they’re still exposed and impacted while being in the same atmosphere at the nail salon. This is why Genesis in Home Spa is proud to offer clients a clean atmosphere free of harmful fumes. Genesis in Home Spa was born, with a strong desire to help people in and outside the beauty industry grow and benefit from a healthier and cleaner approach to outdated toxic beauty standards. Genesis is a strong believer that getting pampered and feeling beautiful should not come at risk to your health.
